How learner information is handled
We use the information needed to provide accounts, learning records, certificates, support and service security.
Last updated: 13 September 2026
Information we use
This can include name, email address, organisation, contact details, username, course assignments, slide progress, assessment submissions and results, certificates, support messages, purchase requests and security or audit events. Passwords are stored as protected hashes rather than readable passwords.
Why we use it
Information is used to provide requested training, verify access, keep learning and certificate records, communicate essential service messages, support organisational reporting, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse and meet legal or accounting obligations. Depending on the situation, processing may be necessary for a contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent.
Employers and service providers
Where training is arranged by an employer or client, authorised client managers may see relevant learner progress, results and certificates for their verified organisation. We may use hosting, storage and email services to operate the portal. Information is not sold.
Retention and your choices
Records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the training service, evidence, security and applicable legal obligations. You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, object to or restrict some processing, or raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Some records may need to be retained where there is a legal or contractual reason.
Cookies
The portal uses essential session cookies to keep signed-in areas secure. These are needed for the service to work. We do not currently use advertising cookies on the training portal.
